Yes.  The Black Glass surface is certified with TÜV Rheinland to be food safe using FDA food contact testing standards. Food or inset pans can also be used.

The 20” portable model has one (1) heating element, the 29” model has two (2) heating elements and the
built-in models are fitted with three (3) heating elements.

Yes. The 29” portable model has two elements and the built-ins have 3 elements which run in parallel connection. Therefore, if one element is broken, the other (s) will continue to work.

Vianni uses a 6mm thick glass surface which is more durable and strike resistant than 4mm glass used in some other products..

Vianni uses a continually adjustable temperature controller made by E.G.O., an international German high-tech company and one of the leading global manufacturers of appliance technology, components and products.

Because there is insulation in the product, ventilation is not required.

Both models are strong enough to support the unit’s weight without having to build a support frame.

The estimated maximum weight (includes pans and/or food) to be placed on a built-in Heated Shelf
is 50 kg (110 lbs).

Vianni Heated Black Glass Shelves are backed by a 2-year limited parts warranty to the original purchaser against manufacturer’s workmanship or material defects.

If something goes wrong with the product, how is the warranty honored?
First, the owner must fill out the register warranty form on the Vianni website after purchasing the product.

End Users (Operators) of Product: For any product believed to be defective within the warranty period, contact the dealer from whom the product was purchased to initiate the claim.

The Vianni Heated Black Glass Shelves are designed to hold and display fully cooked and prepared hot foods at the proper serving temperature.  Food must be fully cooked and heated to a minimum safe temperature of 140°F (60°C) before placing on the unit. It is not intended to reheat prepared food from a cold or frozen state or cook raw food. Failure to heat food to the proper food safe minimum temperature of 140°F (60°C) prior to placing on the unit may result in serious health risks.

Yes. Although all Vianni Heated Black Glass Shelves are 100 % food safe, you may also place food holding containers on the shelves to keep warm as well.

Daily cleaning will increase the service life and maintain and protect the appearance of the glass surface. Always clean before first use with a damp cloth. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, wipes or pads that may damage the glass surface.

Although not recommended, the unit can be left on for 24 hours

It’s best to cut pizza or other food products before placing it on the glass to hold and serve.
